Putting an end to smoke-breaks, costing business millions every day, is now possible

So say some leading electronic cigarette advisors.

Statistics point to billions of rands lost to industry worldwide – not just in terms of those sneaky out-of-the-office smoke-break excursions employees seem to enjoy all too frequently; there is also the distressing loss of life caused by tobacco-related illnesses, equally well-documented.

Captains of industry, therefore, have every right to be concerned about tobacco-smoking, never mind costly all-day smoke-breaks. Many companies are now simply clamping down and restricting company smoke-breaks to a bare minimum during office hours. Unfortunately unrestricted smoking of tobacco after- hours is still a major health risk and concern.

A viable solution is available. It’s a solution containing little drops of nicotine in a cartridge attached to a battery and it’s called an ‘electronic cigarette’. Electronic cigarette users only inhale liquid vapour (not much different from a medicinal inhaler, but containing a miniscule quantity of flavoured nicotine) – thus allowing ‘smokers’ to get their nicotine ‘kick’ without ‘smoke’ and therefore not having (by law) to have to leave the office, their workstations or boardrooms – just to have a puff.

Stephen Rowley. MD of a leading national distributor of electronic cigarettes, believes the ECS electronic cigarette product, with its advanced cartomizer fully satisfies the delivery of nicotine, without presenting any of the dangers of tobacco smoke, such as  cancer-causing carcinogens and emphysema-causing tars, There’s no passive smoking experience either because there is NO smoke!

Greg Smith supports Rowley’s argument and says “Sure you get a hit of nicotine and the ‘sensation’ of smoking, but it’s what is taken out of the tobacco experience that really counts....There are hundreds of radical poisons in tobacco: Ammonia, arsenic, and carbon monoxide, to name but a few intoxicants found in tobacco cigarettes.”

Smith adds: “It’s one thing to impose fines and resort to further draconian legislation, but you have to understand that some people want to smoke...just like some people want to drink caffeinated tea or coffee.... in this case I found the ECS electronic cigarette delivers nicotine without smoke, smells or staining your teeth and fingers. More importantly, to industry it’s a sure-fire way to prevent further loss of downtime through ‘smoke-breaks’ “
