The current water crisis within the Western Cape has caused every Capetonian to be extremely mindful of their daily water consumption. As a result, the Western Cape government has implemented the Level 4b Water Restrictions that encourages residents to help save water.

According to the recent dam level figures provided by the City of Cape Town, the average dam storage levels increased to 29,5% from the 27,9% levels that were measured last week. Government states that no more than 87 litres per day are to be used by an individual.

Given the water crisis, Hydratherm, has provided some additional insights regarding water usage in the average household.

The information demonstrates the water consumption of both indoor and outdoor appliances that we use on a daily basis, such as washing machines, dishwashers, showers, sprinkler’s as well as washing a car.
