Ubank, a well-established financial services provider entrenched primarily within the gold and platinum mining communities is pleased to announce its strategic partnership with Hollard insurance, South Africa's largest privately-owned insurance group as its insurance underwriter for Funeral Plans and Credit Life Assurance policies effective 1 October 2019.

Ubankprides itself as a bank that heeds to its customers’ needs and cultivates offerings from their perspective so to deliver added value to its product offering. Hence it persistently pursues collaboration with organisations that appreciate its customers and competent to offer the required products and services.

The partnership will enable the bank to offer a funeral plan with several options providing cover to individuals, families and/or extended family members.  While the credit life policy will grant the customers piece of mind knowing they are financially protected against outstanding loan balances they have with the bank should they encounter unforeseen circumstances like death, disability or the loss of income.

We realised that our partnership with Hollard would be compatible especially with its distinguished primary target markets; the mass, emerging and middle-income market satisfying Ubank’s long term strategy of serving the broad worker markets. The partnership will progress in the near future to encompass a wider range of short-term and long-term insurance products that assist our customers with their insurance needs. Customers will access these products at any of our Ubank branches said Ubank CEO, Luthando Vutula.
