My passion and advanced capability in business and human performance improvement strategies enable me to help people achieve their business and career growth objectives.

I am currently the Head of Performance Management at Barclays Africa where I drive the implementation of a global performance management and recognition strategy. I focus on creating an individual performance culture that supports the implementation of Barclays Africa's sustainable growth strategy.

Before joining Barclays Africa, I was the Senior Executive: Enterprise Strategic Programmes at Alexander Forbes' (AF). I contributed towards improving AF's performance integrity through governance and performance management frameworks that enhanced the execution its Group strategy.

I also served as the Executive Head: Human Resources at Santam where I led the development and implementation of people enabling practices as part of the Santam executive team.

I have also worked at the South African Revenue Service (SARS) as the Executive for Performance Management and Reward. My efforts at improving SARS’s performance management and reward practices solidified my diverse range of skills and knowledge.

I am a member of the City of Tshwane's Audit and Performance Committee. I am also the President of the South African Reward Association (SARA) and I occasionally advise the Office of the Public Protector SA (PPSA) on performance management related issues.

My qualifications include an MBA, a Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Law and a B Com (HRM). I have also completed the Wits International Executive Development Program (IEDP). I am a Certified Global Remuneration Practitioner (GRP) and a Master Reward Specialist (SARA awarded professional designation).

Been there: Lindiwe started her career as a hair stylist and thought she would one day own a beauty parlour.

Done that: Lindiwe has successfully set up a business and employee performance improvement framework from scratch within the first 30 days of being appointed in a corporate role.  It has since been used to drive the focus and measure the results that individuals, teams and business units contribute to the particular Group’s performance.

Watch out: Lindiwe is excited about solutions that use real time data to help employees ascertain and immediately address the factors that impact on their energy and performance levels. Employees have so much going for them that they no longer need to wait for the organisation or their manager to “manage” their career growth. Lindiwe aims to be integral to the development of an empowered, self- directed generation of employees and people in general.
