Leadership magazine was recognised at the 2017 Tabbie Awards, held in Cleveland, for business-to-business publications. The awards featured more than 400 entries, with nominations coming from the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Singapore and South Africa. Presented by Trade, Association and Business Publications International (TABPI), the editorial and design competition, which is in its 14th year, was open to English-language B2B publications worldwide that published at least three times per year.

Leadership magazine was declared the Bronze winner, coming third overall, in the most prestigious Best Single Issue Category, adding to Leadership’s previous overall victories in the category. According to the judges: “Leadership has eye-catching, cohesive artwork and well-thought out copy. The writing is as stunning as the graphics.”

Robert Arendse, MD, Cape Media Corporation on receiving this accolade:

“Once again, this is a manifestation of our desire to achieve excellence in business-to-business publishing. We are very humbled by this international acknowledgement of our hard work, passion and drive to provide insightful, informative and thought-provoking content. I am very grateful to my fantastic team of super salespeople, the sales manager, designers, art director, editor, sub-editor and client liaison officers for their continued efforts to make this top brand even better”.

TABPI President, Paul J. Heney commented on the achievements: “We saw a great deal of changes this year in the patterns of who was entering what,” he said. “We saw more publications entering in certain categories, such as Best Single Issue. The judging was particularly tough there, and there were areas where multiple publications were very close in scoring. As a result, there are some fresh faces in our listings this year, which was very inspiring to see.”
