JULES NEWTON

MD, Avocado Vision

JULES NEWTON.jpg

Been there: Built a couple of businesses.  Raised 3 sons. Sold her company after 20 years to a big international listed company. Is a well-respected voice in the Leadership Development community in South Africa.

Done that: Jules built a company (Avocado Vision), that is responsible for training over 300 000 people in communities in South Africa on financial literacy education, and started over 100 micro enterprises in Rural and Urban communities across South Africa.

Watch out: Now thatJules has sold her company to BTS, and is still managing Director, she and her team are looking at taking their South African-born innovations in Enterprise Development and community training to new sectors and countries. Their ambition is to help solve challenges of food security, water security, small business failure across South Africa and beyond over the next few years. The international BTS talent for business acumen and simulation creation is the ideal extra arrow to their quiver, and with the BTS resources and best practice, combined with the plucky innovation of the Avo team, there’s nowhere they won’t go!.

Quote: It’s about the name Avocado Vision: Always we must plant trees in whose shade we may never sit, and whose fruit we may never eat. Investing in people is like planting trees.
