It was indeed a joyous occasion for five Etwatwa residents as they finally received the keys to their brand new homes. The Member of the Mayoral Committee for Human Settlements, Queen Duba, together with Councillor Kgoba as well as Group Five Motlekar Pty Ltd proudly handed over the RDP Houses of this integrated housing project.

The project has delivered 1340 RDP houses and is considered a noteworthy development as it illustrates how committed the Government and its developers are to alleviating the housing shortage and changing the geographic landscape of South Africa.

Group Five Motlekar Pty Ltd was commissioned by the Government to develop this much-needed informal settlement, and is immensely pleased with its outcome as it is benchmarked against world-class industry standards and practices and supports its efforts of providing affordable housing to thousands of South African families.
