Infracon AACE Board Appointments

Infracon Consulting (Pty) Ltd, is pleased to announce the appointment of Yaw Yeboah and Joalinda Asuamah from Infracon Consulting (Pty) Ltd and Jabu Fihla of Ares Africa (Pty) Ltd , our ARES PRISM partners, to the newly elected board of the South African chapter of AACE – the Association of Advanced Cost Engineering. They have been elected to the roles of President, Public Relations and Technical IT/IS respectively.

“This is an exciting appointment, the development of these type of skills in South Africa and Africa is critical if projects in Africa are to really see the type of returns envisaged. I intend on using my role to increase the awareness of the importance and relevance of project controls in the South Africa context ” says, Joalinda Project Controls Director (Infracon Consulting).

“The first board meeting pinned down the roles that we are each to play in the AACE organization here in South Africa. The new board will strive towards the development of local technical capability whilst increasing the level of awareness and understanding of the importance of Total Cost Management in relation to Project Controls”, Yaw Yeboah Chief Executive (Infracon Consulting).

The meeting for the South African chapter took place at the Sandton Hilton hotel on the 25th of August. The AACE is an International body that has been serving the total cost management community since 1956. For over 40 years the AACE has played a significant role in the development, training, and certification of individuals in the following areas;
Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Certified Cost Technician (CCT), Certified Estimating Professional (CEP), Certified Forensic Claims Consultant (CFCC), Earned Value Professional (EVP), Decision and Risk Management Professional (DRMP), Certified Scheduling Technician (CST) and Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP).
AACE’s CCP, CCT, CEP, EVP, and PSP certifications are independently accredited by the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards.
