The uncertainty in the world economy today and the fear and confusion it has caused have left many savers and investors feeling helpless. It has, however, always been a given that we live in a world of financial booms, crises and changing regulations. Financial planning for the future is all about acknowledging that we do not know what is going to happen in the world, nor how it will affect the economy, or the markets, or our investments.

Prof. Prieur du Plessis, professor extraordinaire at the USB, a USB alumnus and chairperson of the Plexus Group of companies which he founded in 1995, will be sharing his perspectives. Prof. Du Plessis is well known for his corporate leadership and business acumen.

Come and listen to his views on the social and economic uncertainty under which investment choices are made, and how to deal effectively with our inability to know what is going to happen in the world.

This will take place at the USB Bellville Park Campus7 a.m. – 7:30 a.m., Friday, 30 July 2010. See link for directions: http://www.usb.ac.za/AboutUs/DirectionsToCampus.aspx
