14th Aquaculture Association of Southern Africa Conference 2019

The 14th AASA Conference will be held from 8 to 14 September 2019 on the Stellenbosch University Campus


The Conference Aims to: Increasing production and stimulate growth; Improving relationships with industry and Initiate a strong partnership with the WAS African Chapter. All interested parties are invited to attend this conference.

The AASA Conference in 2019 will commence on Monday, 9 September with the theme: Inspire / Accelerate / Impact Delegates will be given the opportunity to network at the Welcome Cocktail on Monday evening, 9th September (venue to be confirmed) and also enjoy good food and wine at the Conference Dinner on Wednesday evening, 11th September (venue to be confirmed)

The official conference programme will include two technical tours, a Marine Tour to Hermanus and a Freshwater Tour to Franschhoek. The Conference will follow with three Training Workshops for the Abalone, Tilapia and Aquaponics sectors.

Call for abstracts: The call for abstracts will go out on 15 November 2018. All the details regarding the abstract submission will be made available on the website www.aasa-qua.co.za/site/conferences/ 

Exhibiting at the Conference: Companies/Institutions are invited to exhibit at the conference from 9 to 12 September. Small exhibits and displays may be set up in the foyer of the conference where the refreshment breaks and poster sessions will be held. More detail regarding the exhibit space and costing will be made available shortly on the website www.aasaqua.co.za/site/conferences/ Sponsorship opportunities There are several sponsorship opportunities at the conference.
