Board of Directors endeavour to have diverse experiences from its board members, to include relevant skills and perspective necessary to transform and warrant the organisation’s prosperity by jointly leading it undertakings, whilst satisfying the apt interests of its shareholders and various stakeholders.

It is with this that the Ubank Limited is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Keshan Pillay as the new Board Chair at the Annual General Meeting held on the 29th August 2019. Mr. Pillay succeeds the retiring board member and chair Mr. Jacob Henry De Villiers Botha who served diligently on the Ubank board since 29 November 2005.

Ubank is pleased to witness an internal succession occurring in its board with Keshan, who served as a Non-Executive Member of Ubank from February 2017, now appointed the Chair. This progression is encouraging as it will further support the current board and the bank to realise its strategy, and further provide effective governance and leadership.

“I am honoured to be appointed the Ubank Board Chair and looking forward to start working with my fellow board members collaboratively in planning to take the bank to the next level in the future”, said the newly appointed Ubank Chair, Mr. Keshan Pillay.
